It’s been over 2 & ½ years since I last worked on The Whitetail Incident, so I decided to add & improve a bunch of things in time for Christmas. I’ve added cheat codes and a heap of stuff for the holiday season, fixed a few bugs and made some QoL improvements.

CHEAT CODES

I haven’t played a game with cheat codes in what feels-like-years, so I decided to add them to TWI. My favourites are the jetpack (it’s so much fun!) and big head mode.

Instructions: Press Enter to bring up cheat console in-game, type desired code, and press Enter again to activate. All cheats can be toggled on/off.

bmxmas – all npc's wear Santa hats.

bmbh – big head mode.

bmgod – invincibility.

bmff – doubles fire-rate of shotgun.

bmshells – unlimited ammo.

bmspeedy – double movement speed.

bmslowmo – slow motion.

bmjp – adds jetpack [hold Space to fly].

bmop – activate all player-specific cheats.

You can also find the cheat code list (Cheats.txt) in the game folder.

CHRISTMAS STUFF

The Christmas mode cheat is on by default for this update (can be toggled off). Every NPC in the game, including your dog, now wears a Santa hat and the player wears a Santa suit!

BUG FIXES & QoL IMPROVEMENTS

There’s too much to list here but I’ll mention the major ones:

•  Added boss health bar.

•  Increased item pickup collider size.

•  Made cutscenes skippable.

•  Improved UI + Main Menu.

•  Fixed audio bug when replaying the game.

•  Some small texture tweaks.
