I tried to overcome my thalassophobia by going for a dive in some decently shallow water while in the Caribbean. While on my dive I found something... or... it found me... It needed me and I needed it... This is what I experienced:

Interesting lovecraftian game where you do the bidding of a creature deep in the ocean, definitely interesting to do tasks for an unknown being as you are being mind controlled. Thank you for making this! 3rd game.

My girlfriend played this and liked it! :)

it holds up amazing as always. Respect for not throwing any cheap jumpscares. I could never beat any horror games but these games have a vibe.

Thanks, glad to hear it!

From the start and finished... Its making me keep looking my back since I have fear for deep ocean. The concept is interesting.

Good game my friend ^_^

Thanks very much :)

Good game.

Thank you!

Really made me think about underwater fun and the creature below.

Great game well made I would say the sprint needs to be a bit faster.

Thanks for checking it out!

Short and sweet, but well made. Congrats!

Thanks very much!

I have been waiting for this game

I hope you liked it!

Very cool! I loved getting to be the hunter instead of the hunted! Honestly, I would have loved an additional round of fish to hunt before committing the ultimate sin. Maybe a round of sharks or something aggressive and dangerous to hunt? That way the ending would feel even more bleak after all our hard work. Either way, really fun and eerie!

Thank you, I'm glad to hear it! I thought about having one extra round but ended up just going with the 3, I probably should have though.

aw damn! oh well. i suppose wanting a game to be a little longer is better than wishing it was shorter lol

i’m excited to see what you make next!

(+2)

This was a good game! I do have one request though, for the beginning part I would consider making it easier to see the fish. If you could do that, then it would be amazing. For now I give it a 4.3/5 star :)

(+1)

Thanks, I don't plan on doing any more work on this game but if I do, I'll keep your request in mind.

Hey! I did a big roundup on a bunch of games in the jam (including yours) with some thoughts on each. Figured I'd share it here for anyone interested!

(+2)

Hey! I just watched it from twitter a few minutes ago after the haunted ps1 retweeted it! thanks for playing my game :)

The whole time I was expecting a shark or some other man-eating thing to appear out of nowhere and gobble me up. The submechanophobia theme was done well as the ancient underwater structure unnerved me yet made me all the more curious as to its origins and history.

Gameplay begins @ 12:00

Thanks for playing!

This was a nice short horror experience, I'm especially fond of ocean themed horror, and the ending was very well done!

Good job!

Thanks very much! happy to hear it :)

Small Fish, Big Fish, Dive.r... OOhhhhhh!

Thanks for checking it out!

Hey Mate. Had a go with this latest game of yours. Loved it, Made me feel unnerved for I have a slight fear of the ocean. Looking forward to your main game.

Thanks very much! glad to hear it.

What a very interesting game I have to say myself, I loved the atmosphere of it and just the look was captivating enough. I love me a good water horror game and you’ve created quite the piece. I liked it so much I made a whole video on it if that’s ok, in all seriousness though I really enjoyed this game and i hope you make more in the future. Good Luck!

Awesome video, really enjoyed it! thanks for the kind words.

Wasn't sure what voice to give to the Tunnel Overlord so I went with a somewhat serenading adult female voice. In hindsight, probably not the best choice. Cool game, 6.8/10.

Thanks for checking it out!

This game was really dope, I kind of wish it was a bit longer because the concept was really cool but it was a nice short horror game! Love the PS1 style man, keep it up!

Thanks! I want to make a longer hunting game at some point, it probably won't be under water but I'll hopefully get around to it one day.

This was very cool. I especially think you did an awesome job of capturing the feel of the ocean for such a short game. I think the pace of the game worked very well with that. if it were a longer game it would be frustrating to get anything done, but it was short enough for that not to matter much.

If I would change anything it would be to add a reticle to aid in shooting but even that wasn't too much of a problem. :)

Thanks very much! If you hold the right mouse button it'll zoom in and display the crosshair which will make aiming much easier, quite a few people have missed it so my bad.

(+1)

Much easier! Thanks!

Glad to hear it, no problem :)

I liked your game, but it became a bit tedious.  I loved the themes and the ideas, but I feel like the execution could've used some tweaking.

This is said in respect, not strictly in criticism.  Again, I liked it, I just felt it got a little tedious and could've used some tweaks.  I mean no disrespect.  Please keep making games.

Fair enough, it's inspired by old hunting sims which is why it's a slower paced game.

Now, had I known that going in (and that's probably on me, and no one else), I might have adjusted my expectations a little.  In retrospect, then, the pace nails it.  And again, I say all of this in respect, not as some dirtbag armchair critic, I genuinely love and support stuff like this, so please, keep doing what you're doing.

No problem, I do still appreciate the feedback, thanks for checking it out.

Really loved the game.. My aim was always a bit off but that's ok.The ambience gave a feeling of dread knowing that there is something deep within the ocean bigger than what you think. Slow paced but great build up. Expecting more games to come <3

Thanks very much, glad to hear it :)

This was a pretty enjoyable and unexpected twist on the jam theme!  I've posted a review on the jam submission page, and made a playthrough video:

Thanks very much!

Slow But Funny :)
That's My Video On This Game

Thanks for checking it out!

Was too slow at times, but the concept was put into play perfectly most of the time

It was inspired by hunting games, which are usually quite slow but thanks for the feedback :)

This Game Some How SCARED ME hahahaha!!

Thanks for playing!

Not bad man could use more spooks but was still very fun!

Thanks for checking it out!

(+1)

it's a simple concept but it still worked out very well! and i don't see many ocean themed games, so i really liked this.

Thanks very much, glad to hear it!

that monster seems like a nice guy tbh... Cool game!

(+1)

Yeah he's super friendly... thanks very much!

So creepy, I loved it!

Thanks, glad to hear it!

Fun game but I feel completely betrayed by Mr. Monster!

Thanks for checking it out!

(+1)

Really enjoyed playing this game! The ocean already gives me the creeps so this was perfect haha! The story was great, I loved the style of the game and I'm a big fan of absurd, mysterious monstrosities/creatures such as this one. I also accidentally turned this game into a stupid improvised story while playing it. It just felt like the perfect game to do so haha. Great job on this one!!

My bowels have been sufficiently vacated. All is well. All is brown.

Haha, thanks for playing!
